The First Aid Instructor Course gives learners the skills, information and confidence to deliver fun and informative first aid and aed courses.

• Primary Assessment

• Seizures and Epilepsy
• Choking Asthma
• Shock and Bleeding
• Heart Attacks and Angina
• Stroke
• Anaphylactic Shock Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries
• Chest Injuries
• Burns and Scalds
• Sudden Poisoning
• Diabetes
• Head Injuries
• Any Changes to Working Practices or First Aid Guidelines

First Aid Instructor Course Duration

15 Guided Learning Hours.

Usually delivered over 2 days, 9:00 - 17:00

This is an intensive course and there will be some homework throughout the course to assist with the learning process and to ensure learners meet the minimum learning hours.

First Aid Instructor Course Prerequisite

Learners must have a current HSE First Aid at Work Qualification.

First Aid Instructor Course Assessment Process

This course is assessed by 3 practical assessments and 1 written assessment.

First Aid Instructor Course Renewal Process

First Aid Instructors are required to keep their qualification valid by undertaking a 2 day First Aid and Instructor Requalification Course every 3 years.
