The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is a qualification intended for learners working in any environment and those who are returning to work or starting work for the first time.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that Health and Safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, including contractors, visitors and suppliers.

The Level 1 Health and Safety Course is a good introduction to health and safety and is suitable as part of an induction regime. The Level 1 in Health and Safety is also suitable as part of a college or alternative education program and is a good way to give young people on these courses a nationally recognised qualification in Health and Safety.

HABC Level 1 Health and Safety Course Duration

3 Guided Learning Hours.

Usually run over ½ a day, 09:30 – 12:30 (other times can be arranged)

HABC Level 1 in Health and Safety Course Prerequisite

There are no formal prerequisites for this course.

Please inform us of any learning or physical special needs that any delegates may have prior to the course, so that we can cater for these.

HABC Level 1 in Health and Safety Course Assessment Process

This qualification is assessed through a 15-question multiple-choice question examination. The duration of the examination is 30 minutes.

Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 10 out of 15.
