Risk Assessment Course Overview
The Risk Assessment Course will help delegates gain the knowledge and skills required to identify work related hazards and how to assess the severity of these hazards. The course will look at different techniques of Risk Assessment and will look at how to put in appropriate control measures.

- Main causes of accident and ill health, and their implications for people in the workplace
- Legal requirements for risk assessment
- Principles of risk assessment including:
- Hazards, risks and control measures
- The five steps to risk assessment
- The hierarchy of control
- Risk assessment review and record keeping

- 7 Guided Learning Hours.
- Usually run over 1 day, 09:00 – 17:00.
Risk Assessment Course Prerequisite
- There are no formal prerequisites for this course, although a basic understanding of Health and Safety would be beneficial.
- Please inform us of any learning or physical special needs that any delegates may have prior to the course, so that we can cater for these.
Risk Assessment Course Assessment Process
- This course is assessed by a competency-based assessment through practical demonstration of correct techniques covered in the course.
