There are over 30000 cardiac arrests outside the hospital in the UK every year. If someone was to have a cardiac arrest right now then their chance of survival with CPR alone is under 10%, if you introduce an AED this can be increased by up 74%. With AED's becoming more readily available it is important that people feel confident using them in an emergency.

How long does it take to complete the AED Course?

  • This course is normally completed in ½ a day, 3 contact hours.

What will be included in my Emergency First Aid at Work Course?

  • Training to national standards
  • Manual for each learner
  • Certificates on successfully completing the course and assessments for each person

How is the AED Course certificated, or Accredited?

First Aid Industry Body (FAIB)

  • The AED Course has been written by Good Skills Training to give your staff the skills and confidence to use an AED in an emergency. It is not accredited with an Awarding Body.
  • If you require an accredited qualification either our HABC Level 2 Award in CPR & AED or QNUK Leve l2 Award in CPR & AED Courses wilbe what you require.
  • If you would like a more informal workshop style sessions please view our workshop days.

AED Course Renewel Process

  • This course is renewed every three years by taking another course – However it is strongly recommended that individuals undertake annual refresher training to keep their practical skills and knowledge updated.
  • AED use is now a part of the First Aid at Work Course and Emergency First Aid at Work Course
