Mental health is not an alien concept, but for many workplaces it can still feel like one when someone is struggling and nobody is quite sure what to do next. Our Mental Health First Aider course is designed to give learners the knowledge and confidence to recognise when someone may be experiencing poor mental health, understand a range of common mental health conditions, and respond in a supportive, appropriate way.
This regulated QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health First Aiders is ideal for organisations that want to strengthen wellbeing support in the workplace and build a more open, informed culture around mental health. It is designed to support a workplace role and helps employers work towards their responsibilities under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
This course is practical, relevant, and workplace-focused. It helps learners understand mental wellbeing, the impact of poor mental health, stress, common mental health conditions, psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, harmful coping strategies, and how to support someone in suicidal crisis.
At Good Skills Training, we keep things professional, supportive, and realistic. This is serious subject matter, but that does not mean the training has to be cold, clinical, or packed with jargon for the sake of it. We focus on useful knowledge, sensible discussions, and practical confidence that people can take back into the real world.
