Course Duration
3 guided learning hours; 5 hours total qualification time.
Gain a regulated QNUK qualification covering basic life support and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator through practical training and assessment.
The QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF) is designed for people who may need to respond when someone is unresponsive and an automated external defibrillator is available.
Learners develop the practical skills needed to assess an incident, call for appropriate help, provide CPR and use an AED safely. The course also covers an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally, choking, recovery position, handing over to the emergency services and basic checks that help keep an AED ready for use.
This regulated qualification is suitable for workplaces, community organisations, sports and leisure settings, schools and other premises where an AED is provided. Practical exercises and assessment give learners the opportunity to build genuine confidence rather than simply watch a demonstration.
At Good Skills Training, we keep the course practical, supportive and easy to understand. Quality training at affordable prices does not have to be an alien concept.
If your organisation also needs a defibrillator, replacement pads or a cabinet, our sister company Defib UK can help.

Feedback from organisations that have used our services.
We have been working with Good Skills Training over the past seven years as they provide First Aid training for our staff. They have continuously offered a friendly and professional service, from each initial enquiry, through to booking and delivery. On occasions, we have made specific requests, and they have always been willing to accommodate our requirements. As school funding continues to be restricted, we have found that they offer a quality provision at a competitive price. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering using their services.
Good Skills Training have been a mainstay in our training calendar for more than 10 years and have continually provided an excellent service to our site. All of our first aid training has been delivered to the highest standard and helped ensure Birds Eye, Lowestoft maintains a compliant and well trained team of first aiders. The management and instructors at Good Skills conduct themselves with integrity and dedication at all times. A highly recommended service!
Urban Pubs & Bars has worked with Ian and the Good Skills Training team for close to three years now.
