Evacuation chairs help to evacuate immobile or fragile people in an emergency down escape stairs. Correct handling of an evacuation chair is very important to avoid injury or strain. This course trains staff how to correctly, and confidently, use the Evacuation Chair in an emergency.

  • Any staff that may be involved in helping those in a wheel chair evacuate a building in an emergency, using an evacuation chair

How long does it take to complete the Evac-Chair Course?

  • This course is normally completed in half a day
  • You can run 2 evac chair courses in a day, or combine it with another ½ day course, such as the Fire Marshal Course

What will be included in my Evac-Chair Course?

  • Training to national standards
  • Certificates on successfully completing the course.

How is the Evac-Chair Course Assessed?

  • The course is continually assessed by our tutor

How is the Evac-Chair Course certificated, or Accredited?

  • The Evacuation Chair Course is certificated by Good Skills Training
  • This course is not formally accredited.
