Who should attend?
This isn't an attendance-only Train the Trainer course. Learners need to demonstrate that they can use an evacuation chair safely and teach others how to use it.
Assessment takes place throughout the course through tutor questioning, practical observation and feedback.
Learners are required to demonstrate safe evacuation chair operation and their ability to explain and demonstrate techniques, supervise practical activity, recognise unsafe practice and provide appropriate instruction and feedback.
Each learner also delivers a practical micro-teach session, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate how they would train others in an evacuation chair skill or topic.
Successful completion requires learners to demonstrate competence in both evacuation chair operation and practical training delivery.
Learners who successfully complete the course and assessment receive an Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer certificate.
