Who should attend?
The Fire Safety Train the Trainer Course is assessed through a combination of a written multiple-choice assessment and an assessed micro-teach session.
Learners complete one 15-question multiple-choice assessment paper. They have a maximum of 20 minutes to complete the assessment and must correctly answer at least 10 out of 15 questions to pass.
Learners must also plan and deliver a 25-minute micro-teach session based on an allocated fire safety topic. This gives learners the opportunity to put the training techniques covered during the course into practice.
The micro-teach is observed by the assessor and considers areas including the structure of the session, subject knowledge, communication, use of appropriate training methods and resources, learner involvement, assessment of learning and achievement of the session outcomes.
Learners receive feedback on their micro-teach session to help them develop their training delivery.
Learners must successfully complete both the written assessment and assessed micro-teach requirements to successfully complete the course.
Learners who complete the course receive a Good Skills Training certificate of attendance or achievement. The exact certificate wording is confirmed in the course booking information.
