Who should attend?
Learners complete practical assessment throughout the course. There is also a 40-question multiple-choice written assessment sat under exam conditions. The written assessment is 60 minutes with a pass mark of 30/40. Learners must also demonstrate safe, prompt and effective practical first-aid skills. If you need additional learning or assessment support, please tell us before the course so suitable arrangements can be considered in advance.
Learners who successfully complete the course and assessment receive a First Aid at Work certificate.

Interactive course. lots of sharing of knowledge. Phil creates a safe environment to talk openly and honestly. First Aid updates were explained and shared.
I personally like the real 'life' examples that Phil uses, and how that could affect workplace First Aid.
The course was well presented by the tutor. the information was pitched at the correct level for the participants taking part as we had all completed First aid training before so it was delivered as a refresh and reminder which worked well for me and there was time to ask questions and discuss real life experiences of first aid situations. This was a small group and that worked because everybody's voice was heard and it was really interesting to hear the different situations that could occur in differnt work place settings.
Tutor was excellent she definitely made each and everyone fully aware and fully engaged. We all took part quite seriously and we all learned the importance of first aid . Great teacher highly recommended. (C Corbett) thank you.
