Assessment

There is no multiple-choice examination for this qualification. Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence and practical teaching activity.

Learners complete written assignments, projects and reflective work covering the required knowledge and understanding within the qualification.

Learners must also take part in one hour of microteaching. Each learner must plan and deliver at least one 15-minute microteach session, which is observed and assessed by a member of the delivery team.

The remaining microteaching time can include additional teaching practice or observing other learners' sessions and providing peer feedback.

Learners must meet 100% of the required assessment criteria to achieve the qualification. Where submitted work does not initially provide sufficient evidence, learners may be referred and asked to provide additional detail or evidence.

Certification

Learners who successfully complete all required units and assessments receive the QNUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF).

This is a regulated Level 3 qualification awarded by Qualifications Network (QNUK).

The qualification number is 601/4446/4.

The qualification has lifetime validity and does not have a fixed expiry date.
