Who is this course for?

Employees who lift, carry, push, pull or move loads as part of their work.
Warehouse, stores and logistics staff.
Manufacturing and production employees.
Maintenance and facilities staff.
Retail and hospitality employees involved in moving stock, equipment or supplies.
Office and administrative staff who occasionally undertake manual handling activities.
Anyone whose work exposes them to manual handling risks and who requires practical manual handling training.

Assessment

Assessment takes place through a combination of practical assessment and a multiple-choice knowledge assessment.

Learners are observed carrying out practical manual handling activities and must demonstrate that they can apply appropriate handling techniques based on the principles covered during the course.

Learners also complete a 15-question multiple-choice assessment. The assessment allows a maximum of 20 minutes and the pass mark is 10 out of 15.

Learners must successfully complete the required knowledge and practical assessment before the Good Skills Training Manual Handling certificate can be issued.

Certification

Learners who successfully complete the course and assessment receive a Good Skills Training Manual Handling certificate.

Good Skills Training is ISO 9001 certified for the delivery of training and consultancy services, including course certification.
