The QNUK Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering is specifically aimed at those that work in a low-risk role, where there is an element of food handling, but they would not be involved in the preparation of food, such as bar and waiting staff, kitchen porters, stock room or store staff etc. The course is also ideal as an introduction to food safety practices for school or college staff.

Prerequisites

Learners are required to be 14 years of age or above.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods
