Health and safety training is a requirement in workplaces and this qualification enables learners to identify and understand the most common workplace hazards.

  • The benefits of good health and safety in the workplace
  • The process of risk assessment
  • Hazards and controls in the workplace
  • Responding to accidents, near misses and ill-health in the workplace
  • Emergency procedures
  • The importance of reporting accidents

Prerequisites

This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 14+.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the

English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment

methods.

6 contact hours

Good Skills Training normally deliver this course over half a day, 09:30 – 16:30
