QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid (Annual Refresher)

The QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid (Annual Refresher) qualification is for those that hold a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, who are in need of an annual refresher as recommended in the Health and Safety (First aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

It is important to note, this qualification is to ensure candidates maintain their skills during their qualification period. This is not a re-qualification, qualification.

Qualified first aiders, requiring a skills refresher during their 3-year qualification period

  • Assess an incident
  • CPR
  • Recovery position
  • Seizures
  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Any other significant changes to first aid best practice in the last 12-months

Course Prerequisites

This qualification is available to those over 16 years.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.

Learners are required to demonstrate first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore learners must be physically capable of doing this.
