The QNUK Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is aimed at those in a supervisory role. While undertaking the qualification, candidates will learn more about the common workplace hazards and controls, risk assessment and health and safety management in general.

Syllabus
- The legal framework relating to health and safety at work
- The main causes of injuries and ill health at work
- Safety management systems
- The costs associated with accidents and ill health
- The benefits of risk assessment and the different types available
- Understanding workplace hazards and minimising ill health and injuries
- Managing the effects of accidents and incidents in the workplace
Prerequisites
This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.
It is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 1 literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Course Duration
18 contact hours
Good Skills Training normally deliver this course over 3-days, 09:30 – 16:30
The course can also be delivered blended learning, with two face-to-face days
