Cable reeling assessments are an extra layer of due diligence to ensure that staff do not become complacent about using potentially very dangerous equipment. During the assessment, our qualified assessor will carry out a brief visual inspection of your cable cutting area to ensure that it is safe. The assessor will then observe any operators of the cable reeling equipment, allowing them to demonstrate their usual practices and competence. Our assessor will question the operators to ensure they understand the safety aspects of using the equipment and how to keep themselves and others safe. During the visit feedback will be given to both operators and the nominated manager or supervisor with any recommended action points. A written report is provided following the visit. The session is largely practical and carried out on your premises, using your equipment.
