Course Overview
Anaphylaxis and Auto-injectors is practical training built around the decisions people may need to make at work. Learners develop the confidence to recognise allergy risks, prevent avoidable exposure and respond promptly to anaphylaxis.
We keep the session clear, interactive and relevant. The tutor explains the reasons behind each action, checks understanding and uses realistic examples so the learning is easier to remember and apply.

This course is suitable for staff who prepare, serve or supervise food, and anyone who may need to support a person at risk of a serious allergic reaction.
For workplace first aid, the employer should select training through a suitable first-aid needs assessment. For regulated qualifications, learners must also meet the awarding organisation's entry and assessment requirements.

- Common allergens and routes of exposure
- Preventing cross-contact and communicating accurate information

- Recognising mild and severe allergic reactions

Maximum learners
Self-paced e-learning is enrolled per learner, so a classroom tutor-to-learner ratio does not apply.
Prerequisites
Learners need a suitable device, internet access and enough English to understand the learning and assessment.
Course duration
Delivery: Self Paced e-Learning.
Average completion time: 20?40 minutes. This is an indicative time; learners can work at their own pace.
Assessment
Knowledge is checked through the online activities and assessment supplied with the course.
Certification
Learners receive a downloadable eLearning completion certificate after successfully completing the course. This confirms completion of the online training.
Requalification
The eLearning certificate does not have an expiry date, although certain sectors and workplaces will require individuals to take refresher training at certain intervals or carry out CPD to deomnstrate ongoing competency. As a general guide refresher training is advised every year for most sectors with regards to this kind of training.
