Gain the knowledge and confidence to recognise safeguarding concerns, respond to disclosures and report concerns correctly when working with children and young people.
Anyone working or volunteering with children and young people has an important role in safeguarding. Concerns are not always obvious, and staff need to understand the signs of abuse, how to respond to a disclosure and the correct reporting route within their organisation.
The QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People provides a clear, regulated framework for understanding safeguarding responsibilities. It covers relevant legislation, different forms of abuse, responding to concerns, reporting procedures and protecting practitioners from allegations through safe working practices.
Our trainers explain safeguarding in plain English and use realistic examples to help learners understand how the principles apply in schools, childcare, sports, youth work and voluntary settings.

Feedback from organisations that have used our services.
We have been working with Good Skills Training over the past seven years as they provide First Aid training for our staff. They have continuously offered a friendly and professional service, from each initial enquiry, through to booking and delivery. On occasions, we have made specific requests, and they have always been willing to accommodate our requirements. As school funding continues to be restricted, we have found that they offer a quality provision at a competitive price. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering using their services.
Good Skills Training have been a mainstay in our training calendar for more than 10 years and have continually provided an excellent service to our site. All of our first aid training has been delivered to the highest standard and helped ensure Birds Eye, Lowestoft maintains a compliant and well trained team of first aiders. The management and instructors at Good Skills conduct themselves with integrity and dedication at all times. A highly recommended service!
Urban Pubs & Bars has worked with Ian and the Good Skills Training team for close to three years now. We have found them to be thoroughly professional, very competitively priced and incredibly accommodating to our business needs. We certainly hope to be working with Good Skills Training for more years to come.
