Build a clearer understanding of the mental health challenges that can affect young people and learn how to recognise concerns, offer appropriate support and signpost towards further help.
Young people can experience a wide range of pressures, from education and relationships to social media, caring responsibilities and major life changes. Recognising when someone may be struggling is an important first step, but knowing how to respond appropriately matters just as much.
The QNUK Level 2 Award in Awareness of Young People’s Mental Health provides a structured introduction to common mental health conditions, contributing factors, harmful coping strategies, resilience and appropriate support. It is suitable for adults who work with young people as well as young people who want to understand mental wellbeing more clearly.
At Good Skills Training, we keep sensitive subjects practical, respectful and easy to understand. Training that is fun and straightforward does not have to be an alien concept, and our tutors create a supportive environment where learners can ask questions and discuss the subject openly.

Feedback from organisations that have used our services.
We have been working with Good Skills Training over the past seven years as they provide First Aid training for our staff. They have continuously offered a friendly and professional service, from each initial enquiry, through to booking and delivery. On occasions, we have made specific requests, and they have always been willing to accommodate our requirements. As school funding continues to be restricted, we have found that they offer a quality provision at a competitive price. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering using their services.
Good Skills Training have been a mainstay in our training calendar for more than 10 years and have continually provided an excellent service to our site. All of our first aid training has been delivered to the highest standard and helped ensure Birds Eye, Lowestoft maintains a compliant and well trained team of first aiders. The management and instructors at Good Skills conduct themselves with integrity and dedication at all times. A highly recommended service!
Urban Pubs & Bars has worked with Ian and the Good Skills Training team for close to three years now. We have found them to be thoroughly professional, very competitively priced and incredibly accommodating to our business needs. We certainly hope to be working with Good Skills Training for more years to come.
