About the training
About Train the Trainer Courses
Knowing a subject well is only part of being able to teach it. Trainers also need to structure a session, explain things clearly, involve learners, manage practice, give feedback and check that people have actually understood.
How we approach Train the Trainer
Our Train the Trainer courses are built around the same principles we use ourselves: training should be practical, interactive and relevant. We want trainers to understand why a method works, practise using it and develop a style that feels natural rather than copy somebody else's presentation technique.
We offer general trainer-development routes as well as specialist instructor courses for subjects such as first aid, fire safety, manual handling and evacuation chairs.
Which trainer route do you need?
If somebody needs general teaching or training-delivery skills, a broad trainer qualification may be the right option. If they need to teach a specific safety subject, a specialist instructor course is usually more appropriate. Existing instructors may only need requalification or CPD rather than starting again.
