The Manual Handling Course is a half day course designed for those looking to gain the knowledge and skills to carry out manual handling tasks. Moving and Handling is a key part of the day for many employees in the UK and along with other musculoskeletal disorders, equate for more than a third of work-related injuries.

Prerequisite
- The course is designed specifically for over 16’s
- This course is a practical course, learners must be able to demonstrate handling techniques
- We will also require access to the equipment that your staff generally move and handle

3 guided learning hours
Good Skills Training normally deliver this course over half a day, 09:30 – 12:45

There is no awarding body for this course, but it is certificated by Good Skills Training

The Manual Handling Course is Assessed through a practical demonstration.
Re-Qualification
As with all health and safety related courses, it is recommended that staff undergo refresher training on a regular basis, this is normally every 3-years.
